1) The ones that comment about how they like my blog & it’s about damn time someone on here posted it. Or how I seem wise, insightful & what not.

2) The ones where ppl obviously didn’t read my blog to begin with b/c I still get them damn messages saying: “Whassup sexy.” “What’s good ma?” I understand if you don’t like to read, but why be online or on my profile or even adding me if you don’t like to read?

3) This is my favorite ones: The fuckin assholes that think it’s funny mock my blog & PURPOSELY type: “Hey mamas, what it dew witchu?” Really though? You think I’m actually gong to respond back to those messages? I know I’m responding back right now, but I will not respond back in separate messages.

Oh!! It’s funny when ppl message me with this: “So, what’s your name?”
WOW… aren’t we smart? It says it in my handle, you just take out the 4 H’s and you’re set with my name. OH!!! And the ppl that are telling me that they like the fact that I wrote the blog 7 I opened up their eyes to something real, YET they criticize the way I type & my usage of words. Maybe you just don’t get the way I use words? IDK, whatever it is, it makes me laugh. Oh an yes, I really do type like this when I message people, and I do talk like the way I type. If you’ve ever sent me a message/IM where I would respond, you’d know that I type like this: “all proper & what not”.

Okay I think that’s enough rambling for now. Leave comments, because I know I have offended a few of you. It wasn’t my intention to, but someone had to tell you.

I’ve gotten a few comments from people saying (along these lines): “Damn ma, you’re hot,” “Hey, Beautiful,” or my favorite: “What it do, sexy.” BUT of course, not in the correct form of English. (Not hating on anyone’s grammar or anything, it’s just a pet peeve of mine.) ANYWAY…

There’s a few things wrong w/ those three lines/greetings there.
1) PLEASE don’t call me these things: Ma, Mama, Mami, Shawty, Boo, Babe, Baby, etc. — I am NOT your mom or ANYONE’s mom, for that matter. Yes, I’m short, but that’s b/c height isn’t a strong gene in my family. And that whole baby/boo thing? Um… HOW OLD ARE WE? Yea, that’s what I thought.
2) Sexy, Beautiful, Hot, etc. — I’m nowhere NEAR the typical media/society’s definition of those words. BUT I do think I’m beautiful in my own way. I mean everyone has their own definition of being beautiful, sexy, hot, gorgeous, etc. To me, what makes a person beautiful is their heart. You can be the prettiest girl or most handsome guy EVER to be in existance, but how is your heart? How’s your character? Your disposition? People are born young & grow old; physical beauty can only last for so long, but what lives on forever is their heart. It may pass on, but the spirit of the heart lives on forever. What makes the heart beautiful is to love & to give. I’ve always believed in giving & kindness, but don’t take advantage of those traits of mine. Once you do, I will be the last person that you’d ever want to come in contact with.
3) “What it do/dew?” — What does what do? And where’s the dew? Like seriously, think about what you say & how you say it to a person. Because even though actions speak louder than words, it’s the things you say that the actions follow. Do you know what I’m saying? If you’re meeting me for the first time & you greet me that way, I will reply like this: “What does what do? My hair tie?” A good, “Hi, how are you?” greeting would be GREAT!

I don’t know why I wrote this blog, but I just felt like venting out a little bit. Plus, I didn’t want to write the whole thing & erase my thoughts. I’ve always been the type to hold everything in & let it bottle up inside until that one day where I just explode & lash out on EVERYONE. That’s when I don’t care about what I say to people or if it hurts their feelings or what not. But I hope you enjoyed reading my ramblings.

About a month ago, I was approached by someone that I never thought I’d ever hear from again. She hit me up on AIM asking how I was doing & what not. I was thinking to myself: “What the hell does she want? But I’m glad she took the initiative to do so, otherwise I wouldn’t have.” kind of thing… Well, she picked me up to get some Starbucks & we talked about EVERYTHING that we both needed to get off our chest. It was one of those long awaited type things. And also, one of those misunderstanding type things. Anyway…

I asked her, “You’re so different now. What are you doing? Your view on life is totally different than it used to be. Tell me your secret.” I’m SO GLAD I had asked, because then I never would’ve gotten an answer. Basically, she introduced me to the company she works for. And I also asked her, “Is your company looking for new people.” SO GLAD I DID THAT, as well.  I don’t think I could thank her enough for actually introducing me to the company. It’s surely has changed my life in the past 3 weeks.

I’ve learned so many things in life in these past 3 weeks, that I’ve never really thought about in the past almost 26 years of my life. I’ve never met so many people that don’t see you for what you’ve done in the past, but what you can do & accomplish in the future. They really are my family outside of my family. They see things in me that I’ve never been able to see in myself. Their belief & faith in me is what is pushing me to work harder than I’ve ever worked in my life. I’ve never had that kind of support, ever & I appreciate EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM for that. For the past week, I’ve been thanking GOD for every single one of them & I can’t let myself down. If I do, I let them down.

As you can see with the title of the blog, it’ll be a review on Monet Minerals. I’ve tried mineral makeup before [bare minerals], but I never really got into it. I found out about Monet Minerals, because they were following me on Twitter. I’ve never heard of them, and was glad that they were following. I checked out the site www.monetminerals.com and I was impressed with the simplicity of the site. As I was browsing, I stumbled upon the foundation section. What I really liked about Monet Minerals is the fact that they have a shade for almost every kind of undertone. It’s really hard to find a perfect shade for myself because I do have yellow-ish & olive combo skin tone. I tweeted to Rachel [owner of Monet Minerals] about the different shades of mineral foundation. She tweeted back to me offering to send me a few samples. I really wasn’t expecting that at all. I’m not good at receiving gifts at all. And I still thank her for that.

I received 6 [not 5] little packets of mineral samples. I got 2 foundations & 4 MVPs [Monet Versatile Powders]. What I like about the MVPs is that you can use them for eyes, lips, cheeks & nails. I haven’t tried them on my nails yet, only because I don’t think I would know how. LOL. Anyway, on to the real review.

The foundations
I requested to try 2 shades of mineral foundations, Katie & Sacha. They’re Sacha is the medium shade for the yellow undertones & Katie is the medium shade for the olive undertones. Katie was a little too ashy for me, and Sacha was a little too yellow for me. I mixed them together & it’s my perfect shade. LOL It canceled each other out, kind of. The formulation is good. It’s really fine, not chunky, and blends well. As for the coverage, it didn’t really give me the coverage that I wanted. It wasn’t full coverage, but it wasn’t a light coverage. When it comes to foundations, whether it’s liquid, powder or mineral, I like them to have full coverage. My face was able to breathe, which is good because that means it didn’t clog my pores. As for longevity, it only stayed on my face for about 4 or 5 hours. I don’t really like reapplying foundation throughout the day, so that I didn’t like. Out of 5 stars, I’d give the foundation a 3.

The MVP [Monet Versatile Powder]
I love this product! Not only was the formulation fine like the foundation, but you can use it all over. I used the Pink Ribbon on my cheeks & Sugared Gold on my eyes & lips. When I applied it on my lips, I placed chapstick before, Sugared Gold MVP & then clear gloss. I actually got a few compliments on the color for the first hour or so. Since there was gloss on it, it didn’t last long. Only because I have a bad habit of pressing my lips together & licking them since I was a child. I think if you put a coat of clear lipglass on it from MAC, then it’d last a little longer.

I also got a Midnight Madness & Rockstar MVP. I only used the Midnight Madness on my eyes with the Sugared Gold. It was a great combination. Both Midnight Madness & Rockstar are very pigmented. Midnight Madness is like the color of a summer sky. That dark blue, almost black kind of color. Rockstar is this really gorgeous purple color that yes, EVERY rockstar should have! It’s like the ultimate couture purple color. I should’ve done swatches of all the colors, oops! I got too excited the day I got them, that I forgot to. Also, I’ve been busy, but I will!! Out of 5 stars, I’d give it a 5. Because of it’s versatility & colors.

What I like about this company is that Rachel was very nice to let me know that there was a little delay on shipping. Only because her newest shipper forgot to put some postage on there. Which wasn’t a big deal. I’m really glad she messaged me on Twitter about that. Thank you, again! They also have 2 different sample sizes for all products & 2 different full sizes, which depends on the product.

The simplicity of the site, customer service & variety of shades sold me to purchasing in the future. So, yes! I do recommend Monet Minerals for those who are looking for new mineral makeup!

Let me tell you, a lil goes a LONG way with this! I only used a little bit, and it covered my whole face. It really didn’t give that greasy feel. It moisturized my face really well. I have skin that is dry on the T-Zone, and oily on my cheeks & chin. It felt really nice throughout the day. I love it. I think I’m going to have to buy my own bottle for myself.

Well the only things that’s homemade is the exfoliating mask & toner.
I’ve been using the exfoliating mask for about 2 weeks now, and I like it. I haven’t really seen a difference with it, but it makes my face feel smooth. It’s the Aspirin, Honey & Water mask. It’s worked really well by getting dead skin off my face, my nose especially.

Whenever I get ANY sun exposure on my nose, even if I put sunscreen on it, the next day, my nose starts to peel. Like it got sun burnt or something… IDK! But yeah, the only thing that will help “cure” my so-called burnt nose is the aspirin, honey & water exfoliating mask. I’ll do better review of it later.

The newest thing I’ve tried is a facial toner made of vegetable oil, lemon juice & honey. It’s alright…. I’ll do a better review of that later, as well.

Sure enough, in a green bulky envelope that look like it’s contains drugs, were both of our 120s, & 2 free gift sets.

We were uber excited that we both opened our palettes & did a little swatching. They’re absolutely AMAZING! I mean, I knew they were going to be really pigmented because I’ve watched/read a few reviews on them online. But they’re even better in person!! I wanted to “play” with the colors last night while Shana was raiding on WoW, but I honestly didn’t know where to start.

As soon as I got home last night, I took my 120 palette out & I got on youtube. I said to myself, “Hey! I might as well make another entry for Angee’s contest!!” So I did. You can view a preview picture here.

I was kind of disappointed in some of the colors of the 120. 95% of them were very pigmented, the other 5% of them weren’t. I had to do a few swipes to get color to show on my arm for the swatches. So here they are!!

All swatches were applied on NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in MILK as a base.

With the support & encouragement from friends & MUGS, I decided to post another video here. I’m slowly getting the courage to post more videos and what not.

Someone asked me, “Why don’t you talk in your videos?”

I replied with, “Because I stutter a lot & I don’t have a cool greeting. I don’t want to be boring & say, “Hey girls!” Or even have a high pitched voice.” That’s just not me. Once I get into talking & what not, I’ll eventually do that. Plus, it’s hard to do when I’m filming around 11pm at night & what not.

Oh! I’ve also gotten msg`s in my inbox saying: “You’re just entering to win free stuff!!” FYI – I’m not. I entered cuz I’m a competitive person & I like to think outside the box when I enter contests. Obviously those people who sent me those msg`s are cowards for not posting it as a comment :]

Basically, SV is a social network that joins people together helping 42 causes [currently], ranging from Charity: Water, To Write Love On Her Arms, Education, Hunger & Poverty, Stand Up 2 Cancer, and the charity I’m helpng: The World Food Programme. How do people help raise money for these charities? Well, you pick ONE charity that you want to help, and then you choose two sponsors. There are currently 44 sponsors to choose from: Apple, Adobe, Sprint, 7 for All Mankind, Zune, Body Glove, etc. Once you pick your charity & two sponors, you make a “badge” to post on your social network [myspace, facebook, myyearbook, blog, etc.]. Every time someone views your social network page, you’ll get points. The way the points turn into money for your cause is at the end of every month, SV will put the points together for each sponsor & distribute the funds to each charity depending on the percentage they raised from members.

How easy does that sound? Like seriously, all you do is you post a badge on your site(s) & you’ll earn points! You’ll get points for logging in everyday, answering the daily question AND being active in the forums. You’ll get 100 pts for referrign a friend. The more points you get, the more money your charity gets!

I joined last May, and was telling anyone & EVERYONE I know. I currently have nine recruits. That’s 900 points to World Food Programme!! Last August, SV & Stand Up 2 Cancer held a SV Member of the Month contest. We had to make some kind of artwork to show how cancer effects us. I entered with this mosaic photo:

This mosaic has pictures of people that I look up to. Family, friends, and inspirational celebs. Also, some photos from past Relay for Life & Breast Cancer events I’ve done. I was picked as the member of the month. The prizes were awesome, but that’s not why I entered. I entered to show that cancer is EVERYWHERE around us, and we don’t know it. We may not even know that our next door neighbors have cancer, or that your best friend’s parents have passed or survived cancer. It’s in evitable.

Okay, I didn’t post this blog to brag about the contest or anything like that. I posted this because it’s so easy to help out a charity!!
